Joey Nokes, a sophomore at Brigham Young, took third in the men's collegiate 7.5-kilometer race at the inaugural Run Elite Program Cross Classic at Valley Regional Park in Taylorsville, Utah. Nokes clocked 22:08.7 and was part of a quartet of athletes separated by one-tenth for the Cougars, including unattached graduate student-athlete Christian Allen.
